Dr Chika Judith Abolle-Okoyeagu is an Associate Professor at Robert Gordon University, within the School of Computing, Engineering and Technology, and Head of Postgraduate Taught Programmes. She is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and Fellow and Trustee of the Women’s Engineering Society. In 2024, she was named among the UK’s Top 50 Women in Engineering.
Her work centres on engineering education, inclusive practice, and research-informed approaches that strengthen curriculum design and student outcomes. She leads education-focused research within her School, advancing scholarship in digital learning, assessment, sustainability, and equality, diversity and inclusion.
She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, with research in acoustic emission and structural integrity. Dr Abolle-Okoyeagu has secured research funding, published internationally, and led programme development and accreditation. She is widely recognised for advancing diversity in engineering through national public engagement and inclusion initiatives that strengthen participation and industry collaboration
