Prof. Vincent Wade holds the established Professorial Chair of Computer Science (1990) and a personal Chair in Artificial Intelligence at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). He earned a BSc (UCD), MSc (TCD), and PhD (TCD, 2006), and was elected Fellow of TCD in 2002. He received the Provost Innovation Award in 2018 for outstanding research and innovation. Vincent co-founded the Centre for Next Generation Language Technology (CNGL) and later the ADAPT SFI Research Centre, directing ADAPT (2015–2021), a leading centre in Human-Centric AI and Media Technologies. He also founded the Learnovate Centre for Applied Research in Learning Technology, directing its research strategy (2010–2018). His research focuses on knowledge- and data-driven AI, generative AI, personalisation, conversational agents, and intelligent analytics, with applications in education and healthcare. He has authored 350+ papers, received seven best-paper awards, holds two patents, won €150M+ in grants, co-founded EmpowerTheUser (acquired ~$50M), and has supervised 40 postgraduate research students
