Dr Emma Branigan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Industrial and Engineering Optics (IEO) at TU Dublin, currently leading prototyping activities on the Taighde Éireann funded LIGHTSHAPE project, which focuses on designing holographic optical elements for LED beam shaping to reduce light pollution in urban environments. She holds a PhD in Physics with a specialisation in holography for wavefront sensing and brings a strong interdisciplinary background in optical design and engineering, underpinned by approximately seven years of industry experience in material processing and the characterisation of optical properties of polymer coatings and waveguiding films.
