Dr Mohamed Seliem is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at University College Cork (UCC) with extensive experience in communication networks, cyber-physical systems, and industrial connectivity. His research focuses on deterministic communication, 5G–TSN convergence, network calculus, QoS optimisation, and simulation-based evaluation using OMNeT++. Working at the intersection of theory and practice, he develops analytical methods, system prototypes, and testbed-validated solutions that enable dependable industrial networking. His goal is to translate deterministic communication research into deployable, commercially relevant tools.
