Dr. Oonagh Giggins is a Research Fellow in NetwellCASALA at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT), with a PhD and MSc in Physiotherapy and Digital Health, and a strong academic track record in Digital and Connected Health. She leads the Wearables for Human Performance research theme and has over 30 peer-reviewed publications, one of which has been cited over 1000 times. Dr. Giggins is recognised for excellence through the DkIT President’s Early Career Researcher Award and has contributed significantly to the development and evaluation of digital health platforms. Her research is clinically grounded and focused on real-world applications to improve patient outcomes, particularly in exercise-based rehabilitation.
