Dr Senad Bulja (Ph.D., University of Essex, 2007) currently serves as Principal Scientist and Department Head at Tyndall National Institute , where he leads the development of an RF Hardware research team focused on advancing wireless technologies for 5G, 6G, and beyond.
Previously, he spent a decade (2010–2020) at Nokia Bell Labs as a Senior Research Scientist. There, he pioneered the design of low-profile resonators and filters and discovered new dielectric tunability and RF switching capabilities in inorganic electro-chromic and transition-metal-oxide materials.
In 2020, Dr Bulja founded and became CTO of ArqKos, a Nokia spin-out based in Dublin, specializing in high-performance filters for 5G and space applications.
He is also a Fellow of the IET and a Senior Member of IEEE, with over 70 peer-reviewed publications and 70+ patents in RF, electromagnetics, and wireless telecommunications
