Dr. Shagufta Henna is a Lecturer in the Department of Computing at ATU Donegal, holding a Bachelor's (Hons), Master's, and PhD in Computer Science. She lectures in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, and Deep Learning at the postgraduate level, with a research focus on graph-based deep learning in cloud and edge computing. Dr. Henna has a strong record of translational research, having contributed to an SFI TIDA-funded project, completed pre-commercialisation training through SFI CONNECT and NDRC, and led sandbox trials with Ericsson on GNN-based autoscaling.She has established key industry collaborations with Ericsson, Dell, and Red Hat, refining product integration within commercial environments. Her entrepreneurial experience includes business case development, customer discovery, and defining commercialisation pathways.
