Steven Davy | ARC Hub for ICT

Dr Steven Davy is the Pillar Lead for Sustainability & Environmental Management. Dr Davy is Centre Manager of the Centre for Sustainable Digital Technologies at TU Dublin.He recently led the H2020 CYBELE Innovation Action (31 Partners, €15M), which aimed to harness the power of High-Performance Computing and AI to assist precision agriculture and food tech companies in reducing food waste. Similarly, he led the H2020 AquaSmart (9 partners, €3M) Innovation Action which aimed to improve sustainability of aquaculture in the Mediterranean via digital technologies. Both these projects resulted in significant environmental and economic impact for the EU, generating jobs and IP licensed into new startups, including Ryax, I2S and AgroKnow.He is currently focused on reducing the carbon footprint of large data centres by developing more efficient processing for AI workloads through the SFI-funded SUSTAIN project.
