Dr Dympna O’Sullivan is the Pillar Lead for Healthcare & Medical Applications. Dr Dympna O’Sullivan is a Computer Scientist, Health Informatician, and Head of Research in the Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data at TU Dublin. With over 15 years’ research leadership experience across Ireland, the UK, and Canada, she has led or co-led projects valued at over €20 million. Her work spans decision support systems for clinicians and patients, explainable AI for health data, human-computer interaction, and smart home technologies that empower people—especially those with dementia—to live more independently. She has filed three invention disclosures and currently leads major SFI and Erasmus+–funded projects with international teams across Europe.
