Dr. Qian Xiao, Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, is an accomplished R&D engineer with expertise in artificial intelligence, data privacy, and learning analytics. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore and has held roles at Huawei Technologies, Purdue University, and NUS, bringing over a decade of experience in AI system design, big data analytics, and privacy-preserving technologies.Dr. Xiao currently leads a €200,000 SFI-funded project through the Future Digital Challenge programme, developing AI-driven digital consulting services for energy efficiency upgrades. A recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship, she also completed the Innovation Pathways for Researchers programme at Tangent, strengthening her entrepreneurial expertise.Her latest project, LEAP-LA, harnesses generative AI to empower educators with co-pilot tools, aiming to redefine learner assessment and engagement in online education and shape the future of digital learning.
