Stylianos Basagiannis is a Associate Director – Cyber, Connected & Intelligent systems. with Collins Aerospace ART with a focus in all-systems cyber security, certification, formal verification and validation
He was previously a Principal Research Engineer at United Technologies Research Centre (now part of Raytheon Technologies), specializing in cyber-physical systems, formal methods, cybersecurity, and system safety and assurance.
He plays a leading role in advanced research and engineering for safety- and security-critical applications in aerospace and beyond, including collaboration on digital security solutions for smart aerospace systems.
He earned his Ph.D. from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, with a thesis titled “Development of formal methods for the verification of security protocols”, completed in 2009.
